The Bikesmith
stocks many items you need for your cycling pleasure: from gloves,
pumps, fenders, and racks to hubs, saddles, handlbars and wheels. And if
we don't have exactly what you are looking for, we can usually order it
and have it for you in as little as a day.
Bicycles
The Bikesmith
sells used bikes, including previous years' rental bikes. All bikes we
offer for sale have been expertly serviced, so you can make your
purchase with confidence. We also buy used bikes. If you have one (or
more!) that you'd like to sell, please give us a call.
Service
The Bikesmith
offers any and all service you may need for your bicycle, from flat
fixing and wheel truing to suspension overhauls and disc brake work. We
offer high quality work, reasonable rates, and speedy service.
Basic Tune -
$50
The Basic Tune includes shifting and braking adjustment; lubrication of
chain, derailleurs, brakes, cables, and seatpost; spot wheel truing;
plus a general check to make sure everything is tight and safe and to
assess whether there is any more work that shoud be done.
Full Tune - $75
The Full Tune includes everything in the Basic Tune, plus drivetrain
cleaning; hub, headset, and bottom bracket adjustment; and precision
wheel truing.
Complete Overhaul
- $125
The Complete Overhaul includes everything in the Full Tune, plus
overhaul of all bearing surfaces.
